Server Upgraded
After much extensive searching, along with speaking with current provider, it has come with great sadness that after nearly 4 years that we are going to be moving from Level One Servers(LOS) and will be moving to a much needed upgraded server with higher specs to handle the growth we aim to intake.
The current server is great however with the lack of proper support in the iDRAC system and not able to get a newer server with better specs, we will be looking to sell the current one and focusing on the new one. Slight higher price, but I see specs paying for themselves in the long run.
by WIMH OwnerNot only the lack of ability to purchase a new higher spec server, but the times that someone is doing something to attack the network, certain outages and other factors, it has quite become personally frustrating and honestly more so just more now of a let down. The new server will have double the RAM, so we'll be having 256GB of RAM and plenty more space to able to host larger sites, or build out bigger projects with ease. bandwidth will also increase about 4 times as much, which will ensure we can have plenty of traffic with 40TB worth and also running on a 10GB port too.
One of the biggest bonuses is that we can host it at the Ashburn, VA location with ease. Granted this isn't an hour drive from us as if it was to be hosted in Tampa, FL location but current provider can't offer it. Sad that it won't be close but good thing is that only 13 hours or so from us to there or like 8 hours from a family member in GA. So overall the upgrade and cost associated with it, can be summed up into a single word - GREAT.
